I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

If you do score some seats with headrest speakers, you can upgrade those too. Really helps in a Miata, especially if you still drop the top.

Haha go get one!! :) Thanks homie!!

I thought I updated this thread since the CD player, but I guess I haven't, so here's what I've been up too.

Well, for 1, I FINALLY sold my EM1, sold it for a steal just because I wanted it gone. I parted it out bone stock, other than the Omni's and tucked B16A, and sold it for 4k$. Still had GSR leathers, itr cams, lip, grill, wing, etc etc.

So! I purchased an intake duct, and my retarded brain purchased the wrong side. But, some people run passenger side intakes or ITB's, so I kept it and made a mold of it. I also got OEM Mazda clear side repeaters :) Image I purchased the correct duct, as you can see from the photoshoot above lol, so, I made the mold. Here's a picture, the mold is on the right, the original duct is on the left. Don't worry about the swirls, thats just leftover gel coat. Image Then, I figured lets make a part! So, I grabbed a few sheets of kevlar and some fiberglass, and made my first kevlar duct..here's a picture of it curing. For those kevlar/carbon fiber guys, no I didn't vacuum bag it, with small parts like this I normally don't worry about vacuum bagging, I just use a resin with a long working time and take my time on the parts and get all the air out that I can. Image And I popped the piece out the following day, and here it is! Image Image It came out decent, a few imperfections but all in all its good. I still need to finish the edges, so don't worry thats not the final product lol.

Then I finally cracked down on the OEM side repeaters...that cut was horrible to do haha.
Cut out the diagram, measured the placement, and taped away. I didn't have painters tape but this masking tape worked just fine for me. Image Got to cutting, and did a test fit with the gasket...perfect fit! So, after a little bit of smoothing the edges, it slid right in, nice and sturdy. Image And now it's in! Image Image Then, since I knew I was going to miss my EM1, I made a memorial for it. My valve cover! I painted it EBP with my leftover paint...it doesn't match anything, but it's okay, I have nothing to show off under the hood lol. Image And thats about where I am today! I've been searching hard for a hard top I can snag for a decent price, but here they're all over 1k$ and I refuse to spend that much. So it's either a roll bar or hard top next!
