| Post subject: | my new car ... 95 gsr |
Hey .. its been a while since i've posted on here and last time i posted a pic of my ride it was a green 96 civic with gunmetal wheels, yada yada ... well i've since gotten rid of it and bought a new toy. I'll be posting up some pics hopefully tomorrow or sometime soon. Here's the info ... 95 Milano Red GSR eibach prokit springs dc 4-2-1header AEM CAI Stock exhaust wih electric Y cutout at header Venom 310 injectors Holley FMU AEM PowerSteering pulley Jackson Racing Supercharger w/ 8lb pulley Endyn Alternator Stepper pulley good for 14.15 @ 99.6 w/ a 2.26 60' before the Y cutout and stepper pulley. Stepper pulley adds ~3 lbs of boost so it'll boost between 9-11 lbs Near future plans - put on the alternatorstepper pulley and exhaust cutout ... end of the month buy an importbuilders.com brand new b16 short block bored to 84.5mm (1. Over winter - save money till spring and sell my supercharger ... buy the IB spec T70 powered turbo kit, new axles and clutch and install everything ... and start making some real power. after that - tune, tune, tune .... save some money ... tune some more. Then, pay off the loan for my car, take out another and buy JDM black w/ red stitch recaros, JDM front end, and various jdm parts. |

Damn man, congrats, car sounds awesome! Future plans sound great too (why using the B16 block though, or are you just trying to make 1.8 liters the "oversquare" way?). Don't be a stranger! |

reason for the b16 block is because of the stroke. Even though the displacement will be the same as my gsr block, my stroke will be 10mm shorter ... which means less piston speed and it'll breath better up top ... which = better reliability. I was gonna get the same kind of build of for a stock bore gsr block ... but jeff from IB recomended this one ... and he howed me dyno's and stuff. It produces a REALLY flat torque curve and has a really smooth powerband. http://importbuilders.com/images/b16aturbo.jpg that's basically the same setup ... but i'm pretty sure that turbo is the t3/t4they offer with their other kit. i'll be going wth 9.5:1 c/r btw btw- any of you j-town guys coming down to the em's subs cruise in this sunday? haven't seen you around in a while ... well other than the flood city demons |

I haven't been down your way because of building my house. Haven't had much free time. I am going to make it there a few more times before the end of the summer. |

That's what I figured. Building a B18 the "oversquare" way, sounds awesome! I'm curious to see your 3rd gear pull vid! |
