Finished up the rebuild process yesterday on my "other" car. It's a 12.3:1 CR B17 with an ITR head, some head work, CTR cams, YS1+LSD, daily driven. Not the greatest thing on here, but I've built this car from when it was stock in '01. Some pics...
I'll get better pics eventually. I'm just glad to be driving it again.... it's been a while.Comments / Suggestions welcome. |

Thanks, everyone. I actually haven't even taken the car to the track yet. But it feels like mid-to-low 13's. Once I get it all re-tuned, I'll be taking it out asap. Can't wait! |

Nope, never got around to dyno tuning.... there's a bit of history with this set up. Kinda sad. Last spring/summer, I pieced this set up together, got it running, and street tuned with a wideband o2 sensor, turboedit chips, and a vafc. I got it running real strong.... then spun a rod bearing. Anyway, checked out the bottom end, and it was perfectly fine. Replaced the bearing, started it up, and still got a nice metal on metal sound. Ugh. Then school started, and I didn't have time to mess with it. A year passed, I finally got around to disassembling the engine, took off the pressure plate, disk, and get to the flywheel.... and start loosening the flywheel bolts with my fingers.... wait. That ain't right! So, ANYWAY.... I with this set up, I predict around 180-185whp, but we'll see. I have a few bugs I'm still trying to straighten out, and my tuner seems to be MIA. Oh well. Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. |
