Post subject:  Project DX

Hello everyone. Just introduced to thejdm from a few friends, and would like to indroduce myself.

AJ
Rochester, Ny
97 civic Dx coupe

I'm planning on dumpin some huge cashish into the lil pup so i can stomp vettes. Very interested in a K-swap for the winter overhaul. I'm very mechanically inclined (Was a certified toyota master tech.....but now i drive a semi). I have helped on an h22 swap into a 92 accord, and could probably do a b-swap fairly easily into the ek, but its been done to many times. If anyone has any helpful hints, as far as wiring, mounts, suspension set up please feel free to reply. The project won't start till late november, so the more hints the better. Thanks.

sup man
k series ftw! wiring is easy just used the type s or whatever engine harness and it goes through the firewall to the ecu...then simply plug/wire in the swap harness and thats it.
mounts all bolt right in too but you have two choices depending on brands. hasports ekk1 or ekk2's.
the ekk1's bolt right in and everything but the motor is placed pretty far forward with low oil pan clearance and not the best axle alinement.
ekk2's use the eg/dc rear crossmember to sit the engine furthur back for good clearance and straighter axles.
