I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Post by 93ludeSi » June 04, 2007

So i'm basically gonna start from when i got the car to now. alot has been done so far to bring it back to the stock/jdm look and clean it up. Considering i have had the car a while(a year now) here is some pics of stuff thats been done to clean it up...

Pre-Body Work Image Image Image Couple Shots from the Shop During Body Work Image Image Image Stock Headlights Image JDM's(sorry for blurry pic) Image Engine Bay Before Car was Stored for the Winter Image Spring 07 (Valve cover painted and header/highflow installed, NGK Iridium plugs and NGK plug Wires, Spoon Res. Covers. Also removed about 10 pounds of aftermarket stereo wiring running through the whole car)
Sorry for blurry pic again:banghead: Image Image Image Interior Before (unfortunately i dont have pics from when i first got the car but the interior had red paint on almost all trim pieces. one of the first thing i did was repaint the interior however some spots need to be touched up again but the car still looks 100% better now than it did before) Image Now Image
Sooo... i posted recent pics in my noob intro thread(whats up) so if wanted i can repost them here but i figured i posted enough for now:-|

i also replaced the rear brakes this month (2x calipers,2x rotors, and ceramic pads) which set me back a little. was thinking about doing the legend 2 piston calipers but figured i would just wait and do that on the front and leave the rear stock.

Also painted the wheels this weekend but i fogot to adjust my e-brake cable after putting in the new calipers and locked up the one side which unfortunately it was raining and the brake dust/heat/water ate right through the clear coat/paint when i tried to wash it off so now i have to do one wheel all over again, will post pics tomarrow probally...

Looks good, it came along way, that engine bay turned out really nice. I'd black out that center vent bezel on the dash, other then that looking good man.

As far as future plans i got a couple things planned before i put it away this winter but for this summer im probally just going to get a set of rims and do my suspension over with the full coilover kit not just the coilovers and stock setup it has now, and also a carbon fiber hood along with just continuing to clean it up. can't really tell by the pictures but the hood has the small pit holes from years of stones and sh!t hitting it. I really want to get that replaced so im just gonna do the carbon fiber deal. For rims im looking at the tenzo mean 6 in hyper black(gunmetal) or a similiar 5-7 spoke wheel in hyper black or black but something with out a polished lip. also considering going with the bronze but we'll see when i finally decide...

I am moving for school this fall and got a town house that has a 2 car garage out at fredonia so i plan on taking the car out to innovative in buffalo late this summer and get it dyno'd, then this winter hopefully get crower stg 2 cams and s200 put in considering i dont really want to put the time/money into the jdm h22a. i plan on staying with the h23 but i want to get to 250+ whp N/A so fuel upgrades and IM and so forth will come eventually, just a matter of time/money which im sure everyone understands.

other future plans that will happen eventually(sooner or later); racing seats, misc engine upgrades, upgrade calipers in the front, possibly do the 97-01 prelude sunroof conversion(glass instead of body colored panel, stil undecided), new tail lights, shave trunk lid and repaint body parts that weren't done before, replace exhaust, lower tie bars, and pretty much whatever i can think of. i really love this year prelude and plan on having it for a long time so we'll see how much i end up dumping into this thing:P
