I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

School me on Cali emissions laws as they apply to non-residents

Post by kotomile » April 29, 2008

So I'll be doing some school (about a year worth) in Cali next year, and I'm wondering.. how strict are they allowed to be emissions-wise to me, considering I'm still technically a resident of Florida? Would I be subject to emissions testing? My Miata would fail, fail, fail in its current state...

This may just happen sooner than I originally thought... the Army's short Farsi speakers.

Tenchu - I'm bringing the Neon (which will pass, thankfully it's not modded much), but the Miata.. man I'd hate to be without it for a year plus.

93ludeSi - That's what I'm hoping! Do you have any experience with it?

not with cali i havent and considering my car passes NY inspection i havent had anyprobelms out of state. I would think as long as your inspection is valid you should be ok. Your not gonna be changing your license or anything right?

also ask zero, i think he was the one who has the texas plates but is in Nevada atm. He might be able to give some insight.

That would be a big dip down, actually. It looks like I40 is a much more direct route (NorGA to NorCal)

And yeah, just bought a house too. Thinking about renting it out since I don't see selling a house in this market going well. I can only request to come back to Augusta (not that I really want to) once training is over, so not a lot is guaranteed right now.. I'm crossing my fingers I don't get sent anywhere cold.
