I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Haha... Nice
Seems like a killer project.
T78, thats a pretty big snail, enough to flow 700+whp
Is it a stock RB26 bottom end and head?
Stock R33 Ecu.. you goign to run an afc or something? I would imagine with a 78 that thing should have some big injectors, looks like it has a new fuel rail already..
And yeah.. koguchi style hood would be blang, and probably help a bit with cooling off the RB.
Thats what I hear is a problem with rb cars, cooling, maybe you should look into a jet hot coat or some type of thermal coating for the mani/exhaust housing/dp try to keep underhood temps down a bit..
pics!!! 8)
S14.. Currently motorless.

T78 we should start out with over 500 (I hope) and tune upwards, we'll need to work a little to get the engine to run right on both street and race fuel, so dual-tuning in that respect. Don't know if the engine is stock internals, I'll know when we take the car out to paint and I can play with the engine a little. It has a S AFC already, there's lots of electronic shit in there already, kinda cool how it's all dated from around the same period. Injectors aren't stock, we have to pull them soon too, fuel rail is GReddy(Trust, like a lot of parts on this engine) As you can tell, I haven't had much personal time with the engine because of the detail on the chassis. Cooling will be an issue, and I'm already making plans for the cooling system, bunch of fans, pullers pushers, vents galore, but it can't look like shit, so it'll take some serious thinking to do right. Generally RBs like to run rich, so, I'll give it what it wants! Thanks for all the interest guys, I'll post pics as they come, right now it's hard to see the progress, so I won't bother.

Yes I do, there's a gas station with race fuel 5 minutes from my garage, my buddy helping me with my car works there. 8) It's ont he hwy going to Elkhart Lake;Road America Any tips you have? Also, any chance you'd know if the RB20 imput shaft (for trans to driveshaft) is the same as RB25? Also, interested in selling a RB26 plug cover, or cam cover, my car didn't have one. :( Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it. What color paint is on Mark's engine? It looks perfect!

mark's engine is the nur spec color. cam covers and plug covers eh? how soon do you need them? we're about to pull an engine out of a GT-R here pretty soon, in about a month or so. and we're pretty much parting the stuff off of it. itll be the basic black color of an rb engine but u can get it sprayed before putting it on.

as far as trans go, dont quote me on this but i dont see the difference on it. i would suggest though that you get an aftermarket one since you'll be running a rb26 engine (more powerful) coz if you try to run more than 500 ponies then it might not make it that far. i would suggest you get an overhauled by OS giken since theyre the cheapest and the most affordable out in the market. (well at least here in japan). if you need any more help consult us in our forums, there'll be more than me that would be willing to help you out. for more questions just pm me or in any way contact me. the email address in the website should be a good one, itll go straight to me. sorry for the delayed reply.

Excellent, thanks for the help. I will sign up for the forum, lurk a ton, and hopefully leanr a bunch as well. For the driveshaft, I'm going to get a McKinney unit here in the states, it's a one piece and comes with all I need already on it. The cam gear and plug covers are no rush, but they're near impossible to find in the states, so whenver you have them ready, I'm interested. I guess I'll see you on your forums then as well. Thanks again for the help.

Are you using RB20 tranny with your swap?
If so I wonder how strong that is...
And if that is the case you may want to look into Z32 tranny you could get it cheap and they are readily available in the US and have been proven to hold a good amount of power.. I say that because I believe they are the same as RB25...although dont quote me on it... not positive.
Just something to look into if your going to use rb20 tranny.
