I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

s13 5-lug conversion

Post by cosil8e » May 21, 2006

hey all! i was thinking of doing a 5-lug conversion so how many of you guys have done this with your s13's? did you go completely oem or aftermarket and what kind of problems or issues did you run into? i'm looking at aftermarket front 5-lug and oem s14 rear 5-lug because that seems to be the easiest way to go. i've got my list of parts together and i believe that i've got everything covered.

I'm currently doing this. I bought Peak Performance rear hubs ($500 through Touge Factory) and wanted to get Peak Performance front hubs as well. The last shipment of hubs were incorrectly machined. As I was told, the holes for the studs were too large. Had they been too small, they could have been re-machined, but as it is there's another 2-3 month wait. At this point I'm going to pick up some cheap front hubs (the cheap ones talked about on Zilvia).
If I were to do it all over again, I would have gotten full oem kit from Performance Nissan, around $1000.

You'll find that that won't always be the case. Keep in mind that nearly all the aftermarket units are also of stronger construction.

I'm going to buy the garbage 5-lug hubs tomorrow, and I'll post review in this thread.

$350 minus $269 equals $81 over the Peak Performance product. Unless the Ichiba product fails to impress, then I don't save anything.
