Post subject:  How-To 180sx brake upgrade

Well there isnt much out there for this, so I decided I would post it up. My write-up on the 240-180sx brake upgrade and its simplicity. 89-82 maxima calipers/brackets(4 wheel disc car is best to use) with 94-97 altima rotors.

This is a picture of my enkei with rusted stock sized brakes behind it.... Image Take your respective wheel off to reveal the diminutive stock brakes. Ugly too... Image I took off the caliper separately(two 14's hold it on) Image now take off the bracket that holds the calipers on(2 19's) Image Now take a pair of tin-snips or cutters and cut as much off the sheild as possible. You might even have to hammer it down to clear the rotors. Image Look at the difference from 240sx(9.8) vs. altima (11.1inch) Image this is it installed. Its 4 lug, so it goes right on. Image Now reverse of install, install your new bracket with your old 19's. Image This is old caliper vs. maxima caliper(89-92) Image Same goes for the pads(these are FM ceramics hawt!) Image Now install your caliper, with your old brake line. it goes right on, unlike q45 or 300z. So you know, this pic was taken from opposite side from the rest, oops.Deal with it.SHOCKER! Image This is the finished product, doesnt it look much sweeter. Image
