alright heres the deal. I have a 92 eclipse fwd 1.8 shitbox. i got a parts car for free a 94 talon complete dohc motor an 5 speed tranny. the reason i got it for free is no title, so cant strap a nice turbo to that and get her on the road. now heres my options, i can rip the motor out of the talon build the shit out of it and put it in the eclipse, or i can get a 91 laser with a dohc that runs but got a junk auto tranny. i can swap trannys and build the shit out of the laser motor and keep the eclipse as a daily, which has been very reliable except the minor mishap of it spnning a rod bearing 2 hours away from home, what do you guys think i should do?

actually its not a bad running buggy i mean i hate it somedays, others i love it. but the same goes with every car. its the first car i actually owned that i could do sumthin to so i kinda wana keep it. has a certain sentimental value. okay not really but i duno. i mite just go back to jackin up trucks again

find a winter beater of of a grandma somewhere who will practically give you the car for being a sweet careing young man. once u get that we'll do the swap. it won't take long considering you have everything already we just need to make sure we got a good place to do it and a couple days. we'll also take pictures of the 2.0 engine bay so we have a reference. it won't take a couple days but we both have to work so it just may. either way get off your ass and do somethin....(o;'

While you got the engine out, replace ALL OF THE BELTS, the water pump, the timing belt tensioner and pully, and if you have the skill/tools, try to replace the gaskets to, will save you time in the long run

oh ban remember the garage we put my motor in, well yea within the next month ill have it cleaned up cemented and lights up so that will be a grand place to do it. im goin out this week and just guttin the fuck out of the car, if i think i can use it, im fuckin takin it and not leavin till i got a truck full o goodies...

Why don't you part both out and get a real 1st gen... Just a more logical suggestion, but your not listening, you posted this same idea 2 times I believe. Check out the better dsm forums on the web, they'll reaffirm the fact that DSM + motor swaps = gh3y.
