i could boost 15 psi or higher then i cut off my cat. now i can't boost more than 10 psi if anyone has an idea why this is happening please let me know. i always thought u didn't want bak pressure in a turbo'd car

backpressure... is there an oxygen sensor after the cat. if there is and u removed the cat then your ecu is not geting the proper reading from the sensor and it will make it run like shit and unable to boost. if thats the case you would have to jump the oxy sensor so the ecu would think its getting a good reading all the time

ya you need that sensor for it to run right

cut off your cat? and left stock exaust? that must sound like crap...but like they said, you need to find a way to bypass the o2 sensor.

Why not buy a down pipe and either a test pipe or high flow cat, that would have been a better idea. Are you going to chop springs next rather then wasting time and money buying a proper coil over kit? This is depressing me...I'm going back to a better dsm site...

Don't let one dsm owner on here shoot down all thoughts about the site. He doesn't speak for any of us.

I've noticed that. Well, atleast real DSM's. Not Neon powered Eclipse cars, those aren't really DSM's.

...except that Eclipses are the very definition of DSM, being that it's a Mitsubishi with a Chrysler powertrain ('cept the 4G63). But who am I to say, I've never owned one and, well, never will either.

Tenchu had a DSM for awhile, but he kept it clean. We tend to gravitate towards cleanliness here, like jon said.
