I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

lol..... the hood is carbon..... and is all faded and shit..... just haven't had the time or gumption to put the stocker back on

The hood pins..... You don't want to know where they came from, and you don't want them either, I'll freely admit that they suck...... badly

Yea...I'm seriously leaning away from the carbon fiber hoods. I wanted a ZC hood (with the little cowl), but most of the real ones are pretty banged up. I had one on my car, only to find out it had a huge dent on it...filled in with bondo and painted over.

So now, I'm hoping to find a real jdm unit thats in decent shape. I like carbon fiber, but I'm not spending $500 on something that will fade, or crack the first time some asshole leans on my car.

A real CF anything shouldn't fade and ought to be able to be strong enough you could stand on it, if you get brand name it should be fine.

I'm sure the better quality ones last longer, but I think I'd much rather the real jdm hood...plus it has the sweet decal on it that shows the ZC.

I had a fiberglass hood on my last Si, and I was paranoid anytime anyone came close to leaning on my car. So, I think Im leaning towards oem.

yeah..... the carbon gas lid I have hasn't faded at all.... because I clear coated it..... I just never got around to doing the hood, mostly because it wasn't exactly the best quality from the start.... I'll most likely be going back to the oem in a few weeks once I get the mechanical issues left over from the turbo install worked out...

have to get the new clutch and flywheel installed, along with my new motor mounts, 550cc injetors, and some other goodies..... and I should be rockin and rollin once again!
