I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Waaaahoooo! AutoX on Sunday!

Post by kotomile » January 24, 2004

I am soooo stoked! I'm going to my first autocross in forever, got the Rotas back on today (feels so much better - it's on rails), it's washed and waxed, not that it matters for autox, but whatever.

Also I'm taking my friend Toshi, he's in the states learning english, ought to be fun.

Suspension - DC2 GC coilsleeves and blues, poly radius rod, shock, and swaybar bushings (haven't installed the rest of the kit yet...), generic rear upper bar, brakes stock, tires are Nitto 450 205 (40?) 16 on Slipstreams.

OH HELL YEAH it's fun! It's really a shame it isn't more popular with car enthusiasts, it beats the snot out of drag racing IMO. Thanks to my dad I've been in the SCCA since '90, so I've been around autocross for awhile, and speak very highly of it.

I can't wait to get new parts for it this year, as my dad has agreed to pay for some suspension and chassis upgrades to show his gratitude for letting him autocross my car.

i totally agree. it's fun to go fast in a straight line, but there's no rush like the one you get taking turn after turn, pushing your car faster and faster...damn, i may go to the canyons tonight :P

and lucky ass! i'd try and hit my dad up for mod-money, but if he found out how much i really spent on my mods, he'd shoot me.

Mind you, I can't go all-out JDM-bling with it, but I will be doing some mods that will make a huge improvement, I.E. a cage, more bracing, race rubber, swaybars, the like.
