I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Maintenance sucks

Post by munster » December 17, 2004

The other day on the way to work I lost the brakes in Sophia. I don't have the time to screw with it, so I took it to the garage.

Needs: new master cylinder, rear brake drum, and inspection. After I just bought tires.

After all of this she's going to be that much better of a snow-drifting monster.

I would feel bad giving a new car a rattle can paintjob, though.

yes i did, typing too fast and not thinking will do that.

i payed 30 for my rebuilt MC(even came with a bench bleed kit!), and a couple more bucks for a quart of brake fluid and a can of brakleen. longest part of the work was bleeding the brakes b/c i was at school during this time and didnt have my floor jack. too bad you took it to a shop, could have done it, plus your drums for well under 100. it set me back about 50 b/c i had to buy tools as well when this happen b/c my travel kit didnt have what i needed for the job.

I would have done it myself, but I don't have garage room right now because my it's full of furniture. That and the time is hard to come by to screw with it right now. It's my main transportation too. If it was my black EK then it would have been different.

Oh well. At least I know it's done.
