looked more like a plastic bottle of water to me, but they didn't really zoom in on it with the camera...

Schumacher ran over it with the car (between the wheels) and Rubens was just behind him... he grabbed it with his rear tyre I think...

it was depressing to see certain fans behave like that. ya, the situation sucked, but still have respect to remain a spectator and not interfere with a sport. the damn race was in progress as some of that was happening. how dangerous for the drivers whom were actually out on the track deciding to race. ignoring the sport and just focusing on the danger, i wish i could drive by everyone who threw things on the track and throw the same exact item back at them while they are driving. meh, i thought people would have learned after the beer cup incident in detroit

dude... if this had happened in europe, especially Italy, the shit would've hit every fan within 50 miles...

the entire crowd would have broken down the gates and they would've been all over the track...

It had to've been an oil can, that's all they sell at the race lol. Fosters, Bloody Marys, and coffee.

well the FIA or whatever the hell the board is called could've just as easily changed "ONE" turn in the race so that all the cars could compete. Instead they accomplished what? Turning away probably 15k+ fans of the sport because they couldn't make one minor change to the course.

True. The FIA isn't blameless in all of this, the compromise would have sucked but it'd be a lot better than what did happen. I still think Michelin could have built a better tire.

how could they have changed the track? do qualify all over again? toyota even said they wouldnt be able to do the practice laps to get familiar with the new course b/c they didnt have enough fuel on board(remember, cars go on lockdown after qualify until the race) michelin did not do the research they were supposed to. when the track was repaved, they never went out to test and collect data. bridgestone did, bravo to them. blaming the FIA is like blaming your professor for failing a test when you never went to class...
