I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

white smoke and smelling sweet? definately a blown head gasket would cause that.. i beleive the oil would be more liquified/less viscous because of the coolant combining with the oil. By looking at the oil.. i don't know how to describe it but look at its reflection.. you will see discoloring if something is mixing with it.
How much smoke are we talking about.. a puff puff or like leaving a giant cloud behind you?.
Definately do a compression test asap..

I think he would know if it was a bhg, his coolant light would be on, his temp = water temp would run hella higher. He would have excesive power loss. An easy way to check would be, check your gas miliage, do a semi-efficient gas miliage check, if you have a bhg, i would assume your miliage would be considerably lower. Also just try to replace your o2 sensor that also just may be going bad.

Do a compression and leakdown test and post the results.
Could be blowby-is there smoke out the oilcap or dipstick??
Hows the coolant look-milky white shit??
does it do it all the time or on acceleration or deceleration??-tired valve guides
First figure out what the smoke is, coolant=sweet, oil=stinks and blueish, fuel=black sometimes white/grey

People call it a five wire o2, but it actually has seven.
There isn't a lot of smoke. More like a "puff puff". Never seen it on deceleration.
Where should the normal engine temp be? It's usually right in the middle. This does seem kind of hot because I have an aftermarket koyo radiator w/ spoon cap. My girlfriends stock 95 ex runs quite a bit cooler than my car.
