I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

haha. yeah i was, i wrote it like a few months ago when this girl post on a forum about her mdm soon to be jdm. thats where it all started and she wanted it to be all nismo'ed out.ToByTuNeD wrote:I've always just thought of it as the "JDM Style" Nothing to get all antsy about. It would have been a better article if you took the time to re-write it, it's a little difficult to read in that sense. Oh, and as I have your attention here, I asked for your help in the RB in a 240 thread, we both have a hunger for the RB26, your's has be quenched and I'm curious if you could share some of your knowledge. It's better to write articles if the reader can't tell how pissed off you are.
did you ask me before on which forum?
good find man. i agree though, most parts you can buy for any vehicle that's name brand; the only difference is basicly price. they all serve the same purpous. if it works, who cares if it's APC, autozone special or schucks or wherever else you buy it from. granted the real named brand shit sounds better and shit but who cares. i have a filter from autozone and it works great (when my teggy was running ne way lol) as well as a knock off type r shifter, it serves it's purpous and looks decent. but like it's been said many times b4, to each their own.
I totally agree with you. JDM styling is getting out of control. It would have to be for so many companies to be making knockoffs of oem parts that are still in production.
I have alot of jdm parts on my car, but most of my parts are just exterior pieces for looks...ie bumpers, lip, etc. No jdm steering wheel here. I couldn't justify spending that much for essentially an oem wheel...so I got a Momo Millenium. Hell, I'm driving around with an LS swap...nothing jdm there.
I really like the styling of the jdm cars, whether it be Honda, Toyota, whatever. I have to draw the line somewhere, though.
I like the rant.
