I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I was wondering what would be lost and retained if we went to vbulletin too. That's why I haven't pursued it.

I guess I'm not sure the draw to vbulletin, what feature does it have that you want? If anything it seems to me to have less features, perhaps I"m missing something though.

I like the forums the way they are. I think maybe we need to ask ourselves are we going to change the forum for the hell of it, or is it to have a marked improvement in the forum?

well, the point would be to get rid of the hack job... even though everyone <3's it, and actually secure it, sine it's probably on an old ass exploitable version currently. Exploit could very well mean the whole thing would be gone.

I wanted to switch to vbulletin because of the reliability issues we have had in the past.

It would be great to make it nicer..maybe some color instead the of the dull gray and white. But don't kill the forum while doing so..do it offline or something.

reliability issues aren't from phpbb, it was from the fact there's 90000 hacks installed, which makes upgrading a bitch. We can remove the hacks, and it'll be a breeze, that's in essence what vbulletin would be. Phpbb without hacks, or the added functionailty the hacks bring.

The hacks make this site so fun though

. I'm pretty sure there are hacks for vB, JDMU has just as many features as we do here.
