I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Bingo! There are people on this forum who still have problems understanding that.

I have no problems with building on a budget, some people have more bills, payments, responsibilities, etc. then others. Budget building still lets them enjoy their car and the scene. The people that are able to spend the extra cash and the extra time searching and trying to locate the real deal parts know what they have at the end of the day. Someone who invests alot less into a part and tries to pass it off as the real deal....... thats not cool. No wolf in sheep's clothing BS..... can i get an Amen?!?!

Well, unfortunately i am on both sides of the 'arguement'. I have some knock-off stuf on my car and my car also came with alot of knock off stuf on it. One of my main reason for having some knock off stuf though was the price at the time and it was a part that i NEEDED. for example my 'fake' jdm heads, if anyone has seen my BB4 thread from the start you can see the damage my car had, the brackets that held the light in were broke to the light just sat there, the corners were also broken and were eby corners anyways. I needed to replace atleast the passenger side light so between paying for school and living on my own, the ebay headlights just fit my budget at that time. HOWEVER, i also don't try and pass my shit off as being either real or a legit companies product. Im not nessecarily proud of owning knock parts but it's something i needed and the price just fit at the time. Unfortunately i will end up paying more because i have bought knock-off shit and eventually will get legit parts because i will never be satisfied with my car until i do but shit happens...

Also a statement said before when i was talking about wheels companies i hadent heard of that i really agree with is dont by cheap or knock parts that are part of your cars safety. Do your research and buy from companies that have done theirs

Well said. The rest is just excuses.
