I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

The problem is this. The good stuff is expensive. Tuning shops and show cars have loads of money that's why signal drifts with special edition TE37s on their cars. We (the average tuner) don't have that kinda bank. We blow big money on one or two things. So you have to ask yourself, what are you building the car for. Show only go with those mad expensive volks that you don't want to even breathe on. If you building a street strip car, and have a daily beater then buy normal TE37s instead of the magneesium ones. If your dirt poor and are just building something to beat the hell out of. a civic with a single cam turbo engine that has no interior lets say. Buy the rotas because then you can curb the hell out of them. you wont care because that car is meant to be beaten up. see what i am saying. if you wanna rock rotas go for it. but if your building something you wanna show off, then don't. chances are if your building something to show then your not driving it that hard anyways. that is my 2 cents fellas

I have snow tires, but when it's nice enough to put different ones on, there's still salt on the roads. At least in my neighborhood, the town is too lazy to clean up the streets until the end of spring. And JedixA, I completely agree with you. I'll never build a show car, I just want a clean/stockish looking car that I can putt around in. I don't mean to come off like Rotas are the greatest thing going or that they are show quality (hope I didn't give that impression), but they're good rims for people who want the next step up from stock steelies.
chances are its all going to get stolen anyway no matter what you buy.JedixA wrote:The problem is this. The good stuff is expensive. Just call me Dr. Vice.
Let me ammend one thing here. As i reread this I may sound like I am bashing people who own a single cam turbo engine, I was not meaning to do that. So if you took offense then my bad. It was not intended in that way.
CivicSpoon. I agree with you. I was just saying everything depends one what your doing. every project is different. So get what you need for that project. Nikku I also agree with you. As I just learned it might just get stolen.

No dude no. You asked about getting some rims. The topic kinda spiraled I admit as we discussed various wheel options and their applications. Weren't trying to bash your ride dude. not at allhondalowlow wrote:ok is this a bullshit thread about rotas or as posted opinions about the black vs gold wheels on my car.
