I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain
How many of you did your own swap, or are going to?

I was just wondering how many of you swapped yourself, or are going to? I'm saving for a k20, I'd like to do it myself but I'm not confident, I could drop the motor in but tranny work and wiring is what I'm worried about. Plus I live with my grandma and she has alot of stuff in the garage (both of our cars fit though). I want to be able to say I dropped in my own motor but oh well... I'll probably just take my car to inlinefour for the swap to be honest
I swapped mine myself (with help from some other guys). I had to have Hybridynamics finish it up because I ran out of garage time and I had a few wires screwed up. Plus my balljoint incident.
I'd do it yourself. It's definitely a learning experience if you've never done it. That way you know the ins and outs of the setup. You could always call on someone to help you out if you come across some problems.

guess it all depends on if it's your daily driver, what kind of garage space/time you have etc. Don't bother starting it if you don't think in reality you can finish it, or if you have no one to call on for help. It'd be great to learn on your own, but it'll just cost you more money in the long run if you have no clue what you're doing and nowhere to do it.

if u know what ur doing.then do it urself,if u dont and u start to do it and then get stuck, and then u call a shop to finish it up,ur just making more work for the next person.all swaps have to be done in steps, and if u dont know where u messed up it becomes a huge headache.where are u located?give us a call at our shop 724-925-2660(hybridynamics)
