I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

What would you guys like to see with this site? What would keep you guys coming back?

Games? Articles? Featured cars?

We really don't have many posting members, and I want to make sure that everyone enjoys the site. It's the members that determine how good the forum is, and we want YOUR input.

tbh... I only check forums... I always forget the fact that there might also be a site with interesting content...

but uhm... articles, tech howto's... DIY stuff... that keeps me quiet for times on end...

I'd like to figure out how to get people posting more and responding to existing posts. We don't have the repeat users that we used to. If you look at the memberlist you'll notice that there are TONS of members with 0 posts.

We have a car forum with alot of voyeur members. They just want to watch I guess.

That's why I like this forum, and that's why it was started in the first place. Just because we were sick of the politics and shit-talkers on other forums. We wanted something laid back.

We have alot of backing from various companies. I should probably get them posting here again concerning specials, new inventory, etc.

I might look into getting someone to write up featured car articles and do interviews. I am going to be able soon (once I move into my new house), but I would love to concentrate on the merchandise.

Thanks for the input and compliments, just teg'n it.

We should have a 'theJDM rally' like a cross country rally, i dont know if any of you have ever heard of those, since most of our members are from the US, it would be a cool way to meet EVERYONE, not just your locals. We could probobly get a discount on hotels like a group deal. That would probobly have to wait till we got bigger, but thats one hell of a way to promote the site, everyone with a "thejdm" sticker on there car =)

exactly, you ever hear of AKA Rally? Its suppost to be a rally for the "normal" person, not rich people like the gumball rally, but it cost $3000 per car w/ max of 1 pass and 1 driver per car, and $900 for every other passenger, what ever person can afford $3000 just to drive, LOL

being in web development i have to say the best thing is advertise.. get the name out, circulate banners.. stuff like that.. its hard to get people to come back constantly.. once someone see's that oh this place is slow.. they may think of coming back otherwise. It is hard to get alot of traffic but it takes time and patience i guess.

ya thats a good point we need people to come back... its sooo hard for a forum to start, cause no one is patient enough to wait for it to become big, and if there is no content why come back?? I come here to chat, i ask my tech questions on honda-tech because thye get answered in under 10 mins... but ya we need to get the name out is the big thing
