i changed my head today " i took off the z6 head and replaced it with the built stage 2 y8 head " and it runs awsome but after 3 test drives i was running it hard then it fell on its face. i was like WTF then it only revves out to 4 grand then its like a rev limiter. i disconnected the batt. and even pulled the ecu and its still doing it. im gonna pull the ecu reses fuse overnight and pull the battery. and see what happens. man is my ek pretty quick now. the y8 head is a stage 2 build with a huge cam in it. its either a crower or ZEX im not shure but its revvs so fast and has tons of power. please help me out guys on whats going on here ok thanks. |

Sounds like it's in safe mode. Why don't you get a jumper harness and run an obd1 ecu? |

It's a mini me. Y7 block w/ y8 head. It's still obd2, though. What timing belt and gears are on it? |

i got it scanned by a sanp on scan tool its my crank position sensor , theres either metal shavings stuck tot he magnet on it or its bad easy fix 20 min probally and i got a exra one from the y8 block. the code came up as cps noise. as in either the gear is cracked or there is shit on the magnet surface. or its just bad o well. I <3 working on my honda.. i hate cars.. |
