Post subject:  carbon fiber

What do you guys think about a carbon fiber hood, trunk, paint the roof black, and then do carbon fiber mirrors (this is still up in the air). Also should (if I get the carbon fiber) go ahead now and paint the roof black?

Weave patterns? Do you mean as far as painting the roof so it will look carbon fibery?
Im just thinking paint the roof solid black, like a gloss black.

hes talking about all the different kinds of carbon fiber. If you can get the hood and trunk from ViS it should match pretty well.

Go for it, cf is sexy

yea mean if you get a carbon hood and wing and truck/hatch, if you buy ones for the best price you are going to have miss matching weave patterns. that would make me go crazy if that were on my car.

This is exactly my concern about buying carbon products. They will not match, unless the manufacturer uses consistently the same fabric, from the same supplier, and they are picky about the thickness throughout, which unfortunately I doubt it's at that level yet. The black roof, I say forget it.
