Lets say I painted my powdercoated valve cover. And then eventually wanted to take off the paint, would the color of the pc come off too? |

I think the only way to remove powder coat is by sand blasting it. However I bet paint stripper would ruin the finish of the powder underneith. |

powder coat is bulletproof. if you wanted to get the pait off try to do it before you powdercoat. i dont think you can powdercoat on a painted surface. |

If you want to remove powdercoating try using airplane paint stripper. Its what I used to remove the stock valve cover coating and it made the stuff fall off like a banana peel. I'm not sure how effective it would be on powdercoating, but it would be your best bet. HTH. Mike |
