I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Mom got a new ride

Post by munster » March 02, 2006

My mom picked up a 2006 CRV on Tuesday. Black w/ 5 speed and power moonroof. I was amazed how much room it has. Plus a big  for the picnic table in the rear. :tards:

The K24 surprised me even only taking it to 3k due to break-in. I think it was around 22k after taxes without two trade-ins. She's all happy now. Now my entire family owns Hondas and one Subie.

Here's the tally:
1998 Civic hatch
1997 Civic hatch
2001 Accord sedan
1992 Civic DX sedan
1992 Accord DX sedan
2005 Civic DX coupe
2006 CRV

I'll get pics of her CRV when I get the chance. I don't like SUVs, but I really like driving it. Super smooth.

Pimptastic. Your whole family is smart. How great of a tailgate party wagon would that thing be with the picnic table in the rear. The possibilities are endless. :bang:

That's my idea. I told her I'm getting a trailer hitch for it. Trailer my car to the track or a show, fold out the table and rock out.

I talked to the sales manager about it, and he said that Honda made the spare tire cover hard plastic so that it would hold weight when the seats were folded down. Then someone got the idea to make it into a table that way if it was going to be out it wouldn't just be laying on the ground getting scratched.

I wish i could figure out a way to put the fold up cupholder/tray into my hatch. That thing's badass. The ebrake in the dash gets a  from me too.

She traded in a Dodge Avenger and a Ford Ranger on it. She's glad those piles of crap are gone. They were killing her.

Sweet, good luck on the cupholder install. Rock out with your DOHC out. :bang:

I already told her that I could get her some more power.

CRV + RSX head = Mom gets the groceries home before the ice cream melts.
