So, finally pulling the honDUH out of storage, and going to get a new clutch/flywheel put in as the old are toast. Chatter chatters *slipppp*. Anyways, just looking for some input. The guy I bought the car from claimed it had a "stage-3" clutch in it before, but I'm betting that's bullshit if it got fried from the whopping 110lb/ft tq the b16 outputs. Anyways, what I'm currently looking at is an ACT 6-puck clutch, heavyduty disk, and an ACT streetlite flywheel. so like: http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Civic/MODACLS/ and: http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Civic/MODAFLY/ In the end I hope to turbo the motor so it needs to be able to take at least 300whp and the accompanying tq. Suggestions? How unfriendly is it going to be on the street? I have like a 15 minute commute everyday which is almost entirely highway/freeway. 4-6 stoplights total. |

I have a heavy duty pressure plate and six puck. Had the streetlite flywheel, but took it out to save it for the GSR. Mine isn't too bad to drive on the street. After alot of stop and go it will chatter. It's also holding 262whp. I had a street disc, but that was toasted at the track due to my drag radials. I think the combo you're looking at is fine for what you want. The heavy duty plate isn't bad. Feels stock at the pedal. with the six puck it just grabs, though. |

i agree... that sounds like it would be a good set up for what you need. ACT is always a good one to go with. however, you may also want to check out Exedy, i'm not completely sure, but i would assume they'd also have a clutch/flywheel for your application. Exedy is my personal preferance, but that may just be a nissan guy thing. either way, one of the two should be exactly what you're looking for. |

One more questions, suggestions on where to buy. So far I guess I've only really checked out modacar and importparts.com, modacar seemed cheaper. I'd grab it from the local shop but I'm sure sales tax would murder their ability to compete on price. |

one more question, looking at an LSD too, recommendations? Obviously needs to be able to take the obligatory 300whp as well. |

I just put the double extreme pressure plate with the 6 puck in my civic end of last year very streetable and soft pedal just go with that and you will never have to worry about a clutch again. My integra has a single extreme with a streetstrip disc and it feels the same as the civic, thats why I say go double really no difference but you wont have to worry about it holding power double extreme if I remember correctly is good to 410ft/lb trq As for LSD quaife without a doubt only way to go I got first hand experience |

Pshh, I just remembered my idle issues from last year when I pulled the biatch out of storage. I'm starting to think it's a compression issue so I guess I get to try and track that down first before I blow 1500$ on an LSD and Clutch for a burned up engine :> Thanks for the input guys |
