I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

PA's Hottest EG......"Real Flame Hood"

Post by mcmBuilt » June 21, 2007

This is/was my friend Tim's car. He is 16 years old and has been working on this car since he was 14. He did all the body, paint, swap, and turbo himself at school.
I saw him this year at Carlisle and he showed me pics of his progress since last year, and was so proud and excited about this project...(as any 16 year old should be).
Sunday evening, on the way home from Carlisle...I got a call from him and I could tell right away by his voice something was wrong. He got home from the show and wanted to take his car for a spin down his road. And this happened. FUEL LEAKS BLOW!!!
Tim is in good spirits despite his bad luck and plans on doing a Bigger and Better Project Soon...GOOD LUCK BRO!!!

What a shame! Those engine shots make me sick. Hopefully the insurance company helps him out on this but I bet they will say since the car was modified they cant help. Either way, good luck with everything, atleast he wasnt hurt.

Yeah, if insurance had all his stuff, maybe they will help. But if he didn't claim all that on his insurance then he won't. Shame though about that, I saw that happen when I had my RX-7. Went to a meet in Orlando and watched someone blow his shit up. Sucks dude. I hope he gets it fixed

Super cool kid. All the best on the next setup. Bet you check and double check fuel connections this time.
