i just sold my spoon n1 to get some cash for when i move in a few weeks and since i have to put my stocker back on, i decided to restore it. heres a few before and after pictures. personally i think it looks great

1. i cleaned it with some water and soap, then dryed it with a towel. if i had some mineral spirits around i would have used that, but i didn't.

2. i masked off the tips, i didn't want them painted, i masked them right where it looks like its welded.

3. i sprayed it with some flat black enamel paint, let it dry, then flipped it over.

4. untaped everything, then hit it with some sandpaper on the tips where it was blackened with exhaust.

5. whipped out some mothers aluminum polish and went to town on the tips.

Looks pretty good. I have a stock EP exhaust that you could restore too. haha.

thanks man

just some generic enamel i had lying around. i had high temp primer, but it was grey. ive used the paint on a few plastic bits in the engine bay and its never flaked, if it does ill just respray it with some black high temp paint. but the stock axleback doesn't get that hot, so i doubt itll be a problem.

i wanted to hit the piping with a wire wheel on an anglegrinder, but i dont have one handy. maybe ill hit it with a wirebrush before i put it back on to get rid of the rust.

I know I can...but I don't have time. It might help it make it out of my garage, though. It's in the corner with other random Honda bits. I never even owned an EP.
