Post subject:  from cars to BMX and back. Who else???

Well ever since I was a little kid I was obsessed with cars. Not just imports. Hot Rods, muscle cars, antiques, anything with 4 wheels and an engine. Then when I was about 13 I started really getting into BMX. I rode dirt and street for years and then after a pretty bad crash on dirt I started riding flatland and that for me really took off around 16 years old or so. Anyway as the years went on I kind of got out of riding but kept staying into cars. And as I got older I noticed how many kids went from bmx and skateboarding to the import scene. Did anyone else notice this? Did anyone else get into these sports when they were younger? For example, I have known Justin (Munster) and John (Saint) since I was like 15 or 16 through BMX and we are still freinds but now we are into cars more than riding as we are older. Just kind of thought of this tonight after too many beers during the Steeler game. :) Anyway post up if you used to ride and/or skate or whatever...

PS: took a pic of the old rig. S&M Sabbath frame with all sorts of mixed parts...

I stopped riding when I Hit my sophmore year of high school and got a car. Then I got back into it for a bit when I was about 23, then my brand new Haro was stolen and I quit again :(

I still ride. Actually...I have ridden my 20 incher more than I have driven my car this year.

Hoping to get another trail scene going sometime in the near future.

I would like to bust out the old rig and start up again. I dont think I will ever compete in comps again but it would be fun to do just for exercise. I have my bike at my townhouse too (that pic was in my tiny shed). I really miss riding. And one nice thing about flatland is you dont get hurt as much as the other disciplines of freestyle so I can do it into my older age if I desire.

I'm racing old man expert class next year. 27-30 expert FTW! I can still do all of my old tricks so I'll be sure to shut some kids up.
