Well, it’s time for me to buy a house so, to free up some cash, I have to sell my Del Slow. It’s a 1993 Honda Del Sol w/ 93,000 miles. I purchased it in August of 2007 and have literally put about 200 miles on it since then. It seems that if I have time to use something I don’t have the money to buy it but if I have the money to buy something I don’t have the time to use it. The latter is the problem I’ve had with this car. I didn’t build this car but bought it off the person that did. I haven’t had it to the strip but did take it to a couple of Flashlight drags. This car is nearly stock looking (except for the front tires) and it will fool anybody. This car is extremely fast and the previous owner who has had it to a track had a best time of 11.001. Recent new parts include a clutch and tires. I’ve only ran C14 in it since I’ve owned it but if you were to go to a higher boost level, C16 is what you’ll need. I’ve never pushed the car past ~17psi and believe me, it doesn’t need it. The car runs excellent and is stupid fast. I’ll let the parts and pictures speak for themselves. Window Molding There is no window molding around the windshield. Apparently when a new windshield was put on the car the guy changing it didn’t glue it in very well. I do have the moldings but haven’t tried to glue them in again. No CD Player or Radio The car doesn’t come with a CD player or radio. The harness is there and uncut though. Autometer A/F Gauge not Reading Properly The Autometer A/F gauge on the car isn’t set up for wideband so it doesn’t read now. No Front Bumper Core There is no front bumper core in the car. Clearance is a little tight with the intercooler and I haven’t tried to fit it. I do have the core and it goes with the car. No Airbag Computer The airbag computer was removed. The steering wheel does, however, have an airbag in it. Hood & Trunk Cables The hood cable is not hooked up to the hood puller. It is an easy pull on the cable to pop the hood. Intercooler Water Lines Ran on Pass. Side Floor The feed and return lines for the intercooler water are run on the passenger side floor. It doesn’t really cause a problem, I’d just like to mention it. Door Locks I have had issues with the door locks working in the past. Not sure why but I think I hooked up the metal rod to the handle incorrectly. No Horn The horns were removed. Front Fenders Dented The front fenders, though rolled, were dented by the tires. They aren’t too bad and I haven’t had the tires hit while I’ve owned it. Carbon Fiber Hood Cracks Under Clear The skin of the carbon fiber hood had flown off during a 1/4 pass. It had landed on the strip and remained in one piece. It has since been glued back on and hasn’t given any problems since. This is by far the lightest CF hood I’ve ever felt. R Title The car has an R-Title. I was some light front end sheet metal damage. I have some pics after the repair; however, I only saved the thumbnails. A close inspection of the car will show it was repaired properly. That’s about all I can think of. Feel free to come see the car anytime. I'm asking $8,000.
