I know many of you may not really care much, but i decided to share this with you all out of pure excitement and respect.
My buddy ben from here in johnstown, pa ran a 11.78 @ 199mph with a 1.90 6 foot time in his SRT-4 (and know he didn't buy it off munster) tonite at the track. He tried running street drags last year when it was stock and last time he was down there, and was having problems with massive wheel hop and breaking motor mounts twice. Decided to go slicks now and it rid of that problem. I am not too sure on his number exact for wheel horse power, but i think he pushed 398 to the wheel on 20 lbs of boost, and between 450-460 on 25. He was running 23 tonite. Considering this is only his 2nd time out this year since the new motor work on his car since last year, he should have a little more in it. Started out running 12.0's first few passes... then broke into 11.98....then last pass posting time above. Car is pretty impressive, and to top it off his new license plate reads "SLOW SRT"
Congrats to my buddy, he works hard for what he has.
BTW: whens all the big boys from youngwood coming down?... munster tells me you are all working for MIR soon here. I'll hope to make it down there for the drag event and best of luck to you all down there if I don't make it.
That car is impressive no doubt. The license plate is the icing on the cake, alot of cars are going to get a good look at it while getting raped by his SRT. Tom if you guys didnt get any pics or anything i have all of his passes on film if you want any of them. Just let me know how to upload it from my vid cam and i'll e-mail it to you.
