I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain
car mounted rigs?
car mounted rigs?
anyone have a car mounted rig for any of there shots? homemade or bought. i would like to see some. i plan on making 2. one with magnets for the undercarrage of the car and another with suction cups for mounting onto the car itself.
i been reading more and more about these. some of the shots make sence, some dont.
if you ever look at a rig shot see if there is a driver in the car. most of the work is done in photoshop and noone is even driving the car BUT that would meen there is no purpose to the rig what-so-ever u could get the same effect from a tripod and whatnot.
they said alot of the rig shots are of the car in N and people pushing it to get the rolling effect on a long exposure. pushing is for less vibration, and a more steady shot.

It's gonna be hard to find someone who is willing to give you there design. Your best bet would be to rent one, and copy it.

Whitey from Pittspeed has a bunch of them, but his are for remote lenses that are connected to a laptop. Kinda like high res webcams. Used them for his drive to Nopi. His are super small. Probably like 1" dia and 4" long

Not many people want to spend $800 on a rig they can build for $100idrmjdm wrote:http://www.automotiverigs.com/
I know that...It was just to give some kinda of an idea as to what you can do if you have the time to build something yourself.Sean @ ESG wrote:Not many people want to spend $800 on a rig they can build for $100idrmjdm wrote:http://www.automotiverigs.com/
