Post subject:  Digital Camera Question

Just out of curiousity when purchasing a replacement, or additional battery for your digital camera, does the amount of mAh matter? IE: My current battery is 570mAh, however you can get replacements that are almost 1000mAh.

Lastly, do we have a photography section? If not, maybe that should be something taken into consideration. ;)

As far as the battery question goes I have no idea.

As far as the photgraphy section, we didn't have one, but we do now. *flexes admin muscles* http://www.thejdm.com/forums/viewforum. ... e03352f473

mAh stands for milliamp-hour. What that means is that it is a form of measure to distinguish the strength of a battery. They say that the higher the mAh rating, the longer the battery will last, which is true in a generalized way. Some argue that if you get a higher mAh rating than within say 100mAh of your factory battery that it may cause problems. I personalize don't believe that, but rather believe it depends upon the materials from/manner in which the battery is made. So if you pick up a name brand battery you should be fine if it is 1000mAh. Hope this helps.
