I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

cleaning?

Post by diluted » January 30, 2004

my cousin's head unit which is a stock unit on a 1996 monte carlo, used to play burned cds fine. then kinda deprecated and only played a few here and there, but now won't play them at all. the kicker is that it will play legit cds.

do you think it may just need to be cleaned or whatever, like with one of those 10 dollar cds or whatever you put in, or should we just ge legit cds, or a new head unit? she's not big on sound, so i guess you could kinda rule option 3 out. but option two would be a hasle, too.

i'd say try one of those 10 dollar cds with the small, soft brushes on them. Although, i've only seen them used on top load cd players rather than feed-in styles like in cars. I'd ask someone from wherever you're buyign the cleaner cd if u can use it in car cd players, just to be on the safe side. Or even contact the manufacturer of it ... either way it's worth a shot though.

good luck with playing those burn cd's.
