Hiding your tag????

Why do people erase/cover-up their tags when they post pics???

it makes no sense to me! I have heard that "people can find out where you live and come and steal all your parts" If this happened that often, people would have to hide their tags while they are driving around on the street, at shows, races, or events of any kind. So whats the deal?

honestly i dont know,or care they are meant to be seen so when ever, i would take mine off if i was in a serious shoot, neverr blurr them out that looks tacky as shit

I do it most of the time. The internet is more vast than your city and the wrong person could stumble upon it...just a cautionary thing *shrugs*

say you have somones plate #, how could you even get an address ect info. it's not public info.
