so i was playng with the idea of a 99/00 front end conversion wheni go to spray the car b/c i had a bad front bumper and possibly fender but anyway i got a used front bumper off a member on this site that lives local to me so i was glad then the next morning a lady in a grren vw bug runs a traffic light and i notice her not stopping and hit the brakes as does she and we slide together, so long story short this has furthered my interest in the conversion but for now im putting on my used bumper slapping in some new headlights (they were not damaged just in bad condition since i bought the car) Ok so i am weighing out my options, i am thinking about oem conversion from http://www.hondapartsdeals.com but the SI lip and grille only comes painted so i had thought about going with some aftermarket parts from a body shop supply company, so i find http://www.ezbodyparts.com they got good prices and they have the SI lip non painted, so here is my question has anyone used them? they have CAPA certified parts i was planning on using certified parts if i went non oem, so do you guys know somehwere else similiar? from EZbodyparts.com i can get the front bumper and spoiler, front fenders and the inner fenders that go inside the fenders, and the hood for about 390.00 plus shipping i thought this was pretty cheap? SO what have you guys used that did this swap i wish i could find some oem used parts in good shape but i really plan on going with oem parts for fitment and quality unless i find some info to change my mind on quality and finished product after its painted i want it to look like new not like i got some cheap body parts u know thanks for the help |

You can get away with the fenders and possibly hood, but it in your best inerest to go with OEM bumper and grille. They bolt to each other with some hardware that might not be possible with the aftermarket stuff. That is what sets good 99 front end conversions apart from mediocre or bad ones. |
