I know a few people that have used non oem parts and you can't tell. Totally up to you. I'm probably buying certifit fenders to replace my current ones, though. |

yeah originally i had said oem all the way but i got alot of stuff to do and im re-spraying the car, well im not a shop is and before they knew i was doing a conversion he said ill get u a front bumper from my distributor and i was like i think i want oem honda and he was like well its twice what i can get an aftermarket one for and you will no be able to tell, he said all insurance jobs use aftermarket so im going to talk to the shop i decide to go with its down between 2 right now and see what they suggest but i am going to leave it up to what they say if he says go oem b/c of fit to be perfect ill go oem but if not im going to save the $ as long as they stand behnid the fitment of non oem parts, but certifit seems to be one of the better non oem parts and they are cheap also, on a side note, jdmcarboy has good pricing on 99-00 front end conversions but i have no idea on fitment, anyone else know, or what manfucturer they use on their parts? |

Their EG parts fit well, but the front bumper for the 99-00 Civic fits like complete ass. Fenders are okay, but go OEM on the bumper. |

yeah im still undecided ive also been thinking about going 96-8 and stay true to year but i got hit in the front and need bumper, one fender so what about ww.jdmshit.com they got some nice prices on type R " style" lips etc, anyone with experiece with them? here is where i am at first off im pricing certifit i found a place off ebay its a honda dealer in cali that has offered me a sweet price on an SI 99-00 lip and grill, so i was going to go ti http://www.hondapartsdeals.com and prob get a front bumper the fenders and hood i am going to price certifit but those passwordjdm fenders with the sidemarkers installed are pretty nice and ive found a guy with some oem used front end parts hoping to have a 99-00 front end in stock bythe end of the month, i got home owners this month so i got to take care of that first but i also am getting a bonus this month, if i can get the entire front used for the deal specified im taking it if not im going to price shop certifit and mix and match some oem with non i am notr positive but i dont thin kcertifit makes lips or grilles for the SI and i figured i should get lip grill and bumper the same so they fit right, it is not accecptable for my car to have gaps between the parts sdo im going to a body shop prob on sat to talk it out with them another ? whasts the going rate for a re-spray i dont want the cheapest i want a good job for a fair price, car has 1 ding really thats it staying VSM but im spraying the entire car so whats a fair price? 1500 more? less? |
