I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

i've been slacking with this thread ....

SO here's an update.

Went down to the shop yesterday after work just to help bolt a few things up and finish it up and try to start it.

Double checked everything, started up first try and purred like a kitten.

There was a good bit of oil in and on both the downpipe and manifold, so it smoked a bit from the bay, so I shut it down after a minute of idling just to make sure there were no leaks and such.

It was good to hear it again ... it's been roughly 6 months since the last time i even got to hear this thing idle ... so that was a big relief that it started with no problems.

The weather locally sucks, so it hasn't hit the streets yet, but as soon as we get a nice, dry day we're gonna use Duanne's map as a base and do a real conservative street tune... then i'm gonna drive it straight to my storage shed and let it sit til the weather gets a bit nicer.

Here's a few quick pics I snagged while i was there... don't mind the wheels, the overall dirtiness of the car or the red engine bay. The bay's getting sprayed, I have wheels and i just really don't feel like washing or cleaning my car at the moment.
Image Image Image Image Image Munster - I didn't do all the lines, not just yet. I just did some -10 and -6 steel braided, along with the edelbrock rail, Aeromotive FPR and Aeromotive inline filter... If I go bigger down the road, I'll do the rest.

also found out that i went ove the 5000 mile emissions limit by a mere 200 miles ... so now I either have to find someone that'll give me exempt anyway, or turn back the odometer, which i don't feel like doing...

Anyone local know someone who will give me exempt since i'm still so damn close? It needs regular inspection too, and will pass that.

RLD-FAB ... same mani as Duanne and Eric (30stones and Don't Blink) ... I love it, but it might be for sale in a couple months with the downpipe and dump tube, because Chris, Bobby and Adam at Metric Motorsport keep heckling me about doing a topmount ... for cheap... so I might just go that route, just because I love the way a topmount looks in the bay.

I was thinking of asking Jimmy Warner about it ... I might have to figure out an exhaust situation for regular inspection too, I think brando said i can borrow the n1 off his, but I'm pretty sure he garbed it all up to fit with the dseries exhaust manifold.

I was pumped it started right up. Everytime I've been there for an initial startup of my car, there is always something stupid keeping it from starting. This time was different though, thank God. It sounds mean as fuck open downpipe too ... i can't wait to drive it. As soon as I get my storage shed unlocked from late payments and can get my wheels out of there and on my car with some dry roads it'll be street tuned and driveable.... so hopefully it warms up outside.

thanks for the compliments guys.

Look for this slut, along with 30 stones' G-Ride, in Tunerzine this spring. Jason said it's on ... but we'll see when it finally comes down to it.

Oh and don't worry - it's coming to Carlisle this year ... I don't care if I have to trailor it up and push it into the showfield ... it'll be there. I was so bummed it wasn't there last year. I'm thinking of putting at least 400 built stickers on the passenger side, too haha.
