It happened at my high school, here in Oregon. All we can do is hope and pray for the best. I will continue to pray for those families that have been effected by this horrible event.

You know I was in high school when columbine happened. Just a real shame you know.

You know this kid did go to VT. He was an English major, one of his professors said his creative writing projects were really disturbing.

Yeah and just today on the news they said he had been admitted to a mental hospital because he was suicidal. He was on medicine for depression but obviously wasn't taking it. It just goes to show you can only help those who want it. It is a real shame....that is why I started this thread. Please....all I ask is that you say a prayer for the families, friends, and loved ones of the victims. Thank you.

i dont know what else to say on this matter. i hope it opens up everyones eyes about how good they have it to just be alive. its terrible i cant stop thinking about it. the fact that 32 people died in such a savage pointless manner boggles my mind. i hope it never happens again but i'm sure it will.

as hard as it is to say and as painfull you cant stop it no matter what actions are taken. someone will find a way and whats sick is people out there want to find a way.

my prayers are and will be with the family and friends. i just wish they would stop talking about how the killer had a rough life and he had problems. who cares he went on a killing spree nothing said about this sick person will change my mind about the person. instead why not focus the media on the people who were lost. those people are the ones that need the media spotlight. not that sick twisted mother fucker.

I agree with John. The only reason the kid wanted to do what he did was because he wanted to go die a known person. And guess what? The media is making his dreams come true. I was listening to Preston and Steve on 93.3 FM and they were saying that they could name countless killers that did something like this.....but couldn't name the killed. Why....because the media dictates what we hear, see, and learn, about things like this. It does suck.....guy that did this compared himself to Jesus Christ. It's a shame that Jesus never killed anyone and EVERYONE knows something about Jesus. This man is in Hell right now......I guess that is where he wanted to be?

This is the issue that came out after 9-11. In there was a quote I would like to share:

This horrific event has changed a lot of people forever. This poor lost bastard who commited the crimes sent chilling... bone chilling pictures to NBC. He really wanted to scare people.

I have been studying to get my degree in education. Mainly elementary education. My sophmore year we actually had to take a class on what to do in certain situations. things like this they tell us to block doors, protect the children, stay quiet. Male students took a class on defending a classroom. They told us that maybe in this kind of situation we can stand up and prevent further loss of life.

In college, that should never be an issue. It is one thing to get big and stop a 8 yr old who has no idea what he is doing. It is another prospect to do this to a cold, calculating killer. That is something the military might face, not a French teacher.

I am generally a warm, accepting person. But this dumb ass really needs to be suffering right now. Not they way he thinks he was suffering for not being popular or rich. But that bastard needs to be feed to wild gorillas or some shit. Killing innocent people, for no damn reason. ...fuck
