I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. who was talking about a beams engine anyway? i thought we were talking about a k20 exige vs. a celica powered exige?

IDID - you realize the new Elise/Exige come with Toyota Celica engines, don't you?

that k20a powered lotus just shows you the capabilities of the engine in a lightweight car.

they actually came with a k series in them, if you wanted... its just the 2ZZ-GE(this motor did not start off in the celica) is more common.

a beams engine is a 3S-GE. they were pretty much "tuned" by yamaha. read that as made/built by yamaha, not really tuned.

didn't the elises' come with a type r motor in them at one time...??...it just came across my mind. And i don't feel like internet whoring to find out right now...ha!
the new and slightly improved...don't piss me off, and i won't f#*k with you!!! *gggrrrr*

There was an importer (Sun Racing, Phoenix something or another comes to mind) who swapped out the Rover 4s and put in the Type R engines to be US emissions-compliant. I don't recall ever seeing a from-the-factory Honda powered Elise.

That's why this is stupid.
