I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

The mesh is stock. It has been there since day one. I am yanking it out! Then repainting it and putting it back in...lol! It is chipped up pretty bad. If you look at the pics of my car up top there you can see it doesnt look bad at all. Plus I dont have a choice. It is mesh or nothing and that stuff somewhat protects the intercooler and radiator (up by the hood).
But anyway I found out why my boost is leaking so bad. I litterally had a 1/2" tear in my licp to fmic coupler!!! And it was like that when I got dynoed!!! I think I can easily hold 22psi to redline now and that should translate into about 343+ whp I figure from what I have seen over the years. Almost makes me want to re-dyno it, but I am not paying 75 bucks for a fucking number! Need to get some couplers and t-bolt clamps and what not so the car should be running good on Monday after work!!!

JDM IX rear bumper cover ordered!!!
Also found my boost leak finally! My turbo to licp connection is leaking BAD. Gonna have to pull it off and reseal it. So hopefully those dyno numbers improve up top of the powerband there where I was leaking boost big time.
350ish whp is good enough for now (assuming that is where I will be with 22psi held solid at redline).
Now I need some JDM bling!!!

My JDM IX rear bumper got smashed during shipping by a fucking washing machine that fell on it during transport!!! It wouldnt be so bad except there are zero silver ones left in the US from what I can tell after calling around. Backorder in Japan too. Just when I try to finally mod something other than the engine and add some JDM bling this is what happens. I am as bummed as I was when I first heard there is no such thing as Santa Claus...

haha^ Yeah sorry to break that to ya. Well now you know exactly how I feel about the bumper then dont ya? haha!
The bumper never made it to me. I got a call from the vendor saying it was shipped back to them by Bax Global broken and had "return to sender" written on it. Then they said the bad news is worse as they are out of silver and their distributor has them on back order! I was like wtf? Not their fault though. Fn Bax Global's fault. So I plan to order one from another shop in another area of the country that said they should have some in here on the 15th and will ship DHL. What can ya do? Hope to have it on by the show in Jtown on the 25th.
Right now the car is in the shop getting a nice new nipple welded on the lower IC pipe and finally should be all sealed up tighter than a virgin's box. Let's hope so because I had this boost leak for weeks now!!!

That was an option but too much $$$. Why pay for paint when I can get it prepainted and it will match? I have never read of any problems with the paint matching. And now I talked about it so much it is time to reorder tomorrow!munster wrote:Why don't you get another color and get it sprayed? I know someone who could match it.
Also I got my car back today. They did a great job TIG'ing the nipple to my LICP but the fn gasket at the turbo is still leaking horribley!!! The boost leak continues....
