I hear ya. I'm in the "dump the toys" mode to get some bills paid. Then I can put more into my car.30stones wrote:Well unfortunately i sold the head/cams/valvetrain today. It sucks but i need the money at the moment gotta get bills paid and get some money in the bank before i start dumping it into the car again. Just looking to get a set of gsr cams to throw in it for now. once i get a job and get settled again i'll build another head.
I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I think you are better off the type r head was a good idea but in the end you wont gain that much horsepower to justify the cost the head on your car will do just fine since it is turbo. You can easily make 500 with a stock head throw in springs and retainers to be safe for higher shifting. The type r head might have got you 5~10?????? just a guess but really when you got 475-500 who really cares its all useless after 400 anyway hahaha unless you are on slicks. Get the cams in so we can plan on getting tuned.

but for all he actually paid for the type r head WITH the springs, retainers and cams ... it would have been well worth it. I think he gave me 1000 bucks + his b16 head for that brand new itr head, valvetrain and cams, minty fresh black recaros, and some aeromotive fuel crap with steel lines. hahvtecdood wrote:I think you are better off the type r head was a good idea but in the end you wont gain that much horsepower to justify the cost the head on your car will do just fine since it is turbo. yeah i agree the type r head wouldnt have made much of a difference just the fact watters sold me all that shit for 1300 it woulda been worth it and i coulda got that headgasket outta there and put a stock thickness one in there gave me an excuse to use it. i sold the valvetrain so there will be no higher shifting stock b16 head with your gsr cams in it.vtecdood wrote:I think you are better off the type r head was a good idea but in the end you wont gain that much horsepower to justify the cost the head on your car will do just fine since it is turbo.
