I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Yeah I'm definately getting some envy/jealousy built up down here man...
You do know that once it's up and running in good order you have to post a ripper vid or two, just to put it in my face that much more to make me do something with my car, right?

haha, of course. Gonna do a start up vid just incase something happens also (DONT SAY IT!!!) lol. but will take it out and rip it a couple times after i get it tuned next week. until then just gonna have a short break in period. have 10 qrts of oil so i can start it, let it warm up to operating temp for a couple min, drain it, start it again do a drive around town going through the rpms (staying out of vtec for a lil bit if i can resist ;) ) then probally change the oil again depending on how it/I feel(s). Propally take the valve cover off also just to check to make sure nothing obvious is wrong. take a look at the timing gears to to make sure timing is all good. The head was sitting for a while so want to make sure i give it a bit of a break in period to flush anything out and make sure everything is moving right before i start getting into it. also have assembly lube so everything is seeing a good coating of that so everything should be good but first start up i will stil be on edge :o

I also have a Apexi Auto Timer so will get a rough idea of the A/F ratio before i take it to get tuned which will be kinda nice. The P28 is getting loaded with a stock H22 Map for now til i bring it in for the tune so we should be good though.

I was also wondering (a dumb question albeit, but still...)
Does the AutoTimer have a function that can work as sort of an "n/a timer" if you will? i.e. run the fans for so long or something? My car runs hot (not coolant temp wise, it's just REALLY hot when I get done driving it even normal and I was wondering if there was a way to run the fans or something to pull some of that heat out after I'm done driving.
Just a thought.

Sounds like you've more than prepared yourself for this, congrats on the progress you've made!

Billy- bring them sunday and i'll take a look at them if you can.

TODA- The auto timer is more of a boost cool down timer. it allows the car to essentially run after tunring the key off to help with cooling the oil in a turbo engine or something like that. some use them for NA builds also but 90% are for boosted cars. The car was intended to be boosted by the guy i bought it from so it has it but i leave it in cause it also has a rough A/F ratio meter and tells the battery voltage. it also dings when the lights are on so you dont forget to turn them off ;) lol

And yes, i should be more then ready for this come sunday. i look at it as im a weeek behind but then again it gave me more time to double check and manage to blow another 300$ Needless to say wont be getting wheels this month unless i get the tax rebate check some time soon :P putting more money in the engine then intended but not cutting any corners so will be worth it...

Sorry to threadjack for something dumb.
Is it a numerical value like what would be on a wideband gauge, or just a light show a/f gauge?

The Auto Timer i have gives a numerical number the one billy has is what he said. The one i have now is sometimes called the "pen timer", because of its size and shape. Stay away from Ebay also, they have one that is a scam and shows the same reading for A/F...

PS, less than 24 Hours til start up
