I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

i think i made a decision.. no carbon hood and no carbon hatch.. keep it oem.. real spoon wing and real spoon mirrors. and the exterior is done (along with the bys bumper) maybe after time ill pick up a real spoon cf hood but i think color matched hood looks grand..

i seen picture of the carbon hatch on warrens car. i like it. but it isnt what i expected. i meen its really really baller and nice. but i dont know something about the oem hatch color matched and whatnot just goes together. same witht he front end. + the bys having a kevlar lip. might contrast some. so im just going to spray the underside of my hood goldrush and leave it be.

start throwing out comments on this. curious what people think of carbon fiber. can you over do it sometimes?

i totally think that carbon fiber can get over played. I think you are making the right choice in keeping everything color matched. I like when parts all flow together and match the car. Sometimes, i really dont understand the whole carbon everything scheme... like hood, hatches, bumpers, fenders, etc. all on the same car. Unless you are going for weight reduction, thats the only thing i can see a purpose for it. Thats just me though.

I want to evenutally get spoon mirrors also, but if i get them i am going to color match those to my car also, just cause i dont like carbon fiber breaking up the color flow of the car.

ill leave them CF along with the wing. only because the weave is super tight and looks amazing. i might go with a spoon hood after time. but till then im not worried about it.
