2.25" Madrel Bent Piping Carsound Cat Your choice of muffler is what i would do. Right now I have a carsound cat and Apexi muffler sitting in my room ready to be installed with the piping.

yah, thats what i was thinking of doing. i already have 2.25" piping but i want it redone again.

as for the carsound cat - id rather just stick to one off an Si or something for the time being cuz its cheaper.
but i dunno how quiet itd be with the type of muffler im looking to get.

Ok here we go. Anytime you go with a muffler with a larger chamber you are going to become louder because of the total resonant space. Also the person that mentioned about a car sound cat.... ANYTIME YOU ADD A HIGH FLOW CAT IT GETS RIDICULOUSLY LOUD. Remember what I just said about resonant area. In order to keep it quiet you would need a smaller resident chamer. Adding larger pipe will also make things loud UNLESS you plan on adding another resonator such as a pre-muffler so on that sense you are right. Another option is get a car with a v6.

Apexi WS/GReddy SP, both quiet nice exhausts. The WS is baffled, the SP is a straight through. Or you can go to a muffler shop have a 2.25-2.5 exhaust made with an Es oval (nice and quiet also). If your concerned about power 2.25 you will get low end, and 2.5 will give you better top end.

i have the fireball in my car with 2 1/4 cat back with hig flow cat and let me tell you.. it was LOUD... even with a silencer.. it would be LOUD... i cut it out.. and now am running stock muffler on 2 1/4 with high flow cat lmao... oh and the SP sounds LOVELY... make sure you tell the muffler shop to add a resonator.. if not.. get ready to pay many tickets

That's odd that your fireball is loud. Mine isn't bad at all. It smells like a 2 stroke dirtbike without the cat, but I haven't had any complaints about noise level from the local cops, and they're assholes.

i just threw an apexi n1 on the car yesterday. i love it. noticed a big difference in throttle responce and low end power. the sound is surprising not low. then again its only 1 day old.
