yes, word on the street is to use GM synco mesh i guess. hope that helps a little

Dont most of the B-series trannies go 2-3 gear? which one could u say is overall the most realiable

Throw some synchromesh in it and see what it's like. Might still grind, but it'll be less harsh.

i dont really know, most of us from altoona have gsr trannys, all of them dont grind at all...my brother has a b16 tranny on a gsr and it doesnt grind. i'd say they'd all be the same on reliablity, just have to watch where you get it from. mines got 135k miles and its smooth as butter.

he put gm syncro mesh in it and it helped it out alot but its still there...oh well

my gsr tranny's 3rd gear grinds, but that is cause i had super low tranny fluid and i was an ass and stuffed it into gear before i could change it
