I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Nothing changed on the rear bumper of the hatches for 96-00. They're interchangeable. All changes are on the front.

i have a 98 DX hatch, w/ '00 EX front bumper. no prob whatsoever for me except the clips to the far left and far right (not the grille clip inserts), the pieces beside the headlights, i had to bend them back just a tad, but that was it....i also have '00 headlights, but that required a new radiator support, but i dont know if you wanted to do that or not...just my 2 cents

i did a 99 conversion and never changed the rad support, but im doing mine again with a 99 rad support, since the fitment just wasnt right with the 96-98 support.

you can use 96-98 headlights with a 99-00 front bumper ... but there will be gaps and small fitment issues. To get a complete, clean looking 99 swap, you'll need the headlights, fenders, grill, hood, and bumper. The radiator support is optional, but recommended.

the shape of the 2 headlights isn't a drastic change, but it looks as if the 99/00 headlights are at more of a laid back angle, while the 96-98's are leaning more toward straight up and down. The change is, however, drastic enough that if you use one of the years headlights with the opposite year's bumper - there will be some fitment issues.

hope that helps - and good luck.

Well actually you have to do 2 things for sure to get the 99-00 front end to mount up nicely to a 96-98. Rad support mainly, everything else is a direct bolt-on. Parts I used were both fenders and headlights from 99-00. 99-00 Si grill and front bumper cover. Went with a 99-00 vis oem style cf hood. (Did not require rad support from 99-00)

In my experience this is what I had to do to get it to fit. (Check sig for a shot of the fitment)

First you need to cut a small section off (dremel) on the piece where it mounts directly beside the inner part of the headlights. (The plastic clips on either side of the grill the ones that are by themselves which attach the bumper to the support)

Next you need to bend the rad support up alittle since it faces down a bit. (Spot where it attaches to the grill with the plastic clips)
Once you test fit a couple times you should start seeing it fitting better.

One thing I did notice that is a problem is the supports for either side underneath the headlights. The black brackets don't hold the 99-00 front bumper very well so there is a small gap in between the headlights and the bumper cover.

I'll see if I can get some pics to demonstrate what I mean, if need be ;)
