I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

That's why you were messaging robry and I saying "guys, I think something is wrong with my car, but I'm not sure, do you think this is bad?"
I can paste the logs if you want. Don't even ATTEMPT to pretend like you "knew what you were doing". Kind of like when you decided to not check the oil on what was it? The 240, and decided to beat the living shit out of it, then couldn't figure out what was wrong... I can get robry to chime in if we need to go there.

I don't know where the fuck you get your facts from, because your source is apparently a bit off.sfc wrote:tenchu wrote:sfc wrote: Sure I couldn't thats why I had arangements for replacment as soon as it happened. Thanks

The Civic was making a quiet knock, similar to how Mike (Badass88gt) described his noise to me. I figured it was head related, I had a mechanic look at the car and he said it had to be something in the head getting knocked around, and it wasnt serious. I drove it, till finnally it get really bad, so I took it to another shop that told me my oil pump had stopped working, and the rods were knocking. That weekend my car was in the shop for a motor swap.
The 240 was my first, I never claimed to be a mechanical expert, and if I am now, I surely wasn't one then. The 240 got a beating, the rod started knocking after a long day of drifting. I took it home, looked at it with a friend and thought it was valves. I changed the oil, and that didn't do the trick. So I drove it till it died, approx 3hrs. That time I didn't have arangements to get it fixed, because I had just spent all my money on the hatch. So the hatch project was put on the shelf, slapped together, sprayed half-way, and driven the remainder of the winter.
So don't tell me what happened, because I fucking know, I was there, I drove the cars, I payed the repairs, I lost the means of transportation, I heard the sound. I was there, you were not, everything else is hear-say, so untill you travel back in time and go to my house to watch what happens with my cars, don't tell me what happened, because you really do not know what happened.

Let's review one more time, instead of my usual scathing reply, just because I like you. You REPEATEDLY fucked up cars. I'm not "telling you what happened", I'm pointing out the facts. I can post logs if you like. The point is, of all people he could ask for help on whether or not an engine might be ready to take a shit, you are the LAST person he should be going to. The ONLY reason you're getting your panties in such a bunch is because you know it's true. If I have to post logs I will, just to clarify, but I see that as childish and pointless.
Step 1: learn to take a joke, especially when blowing up will just make you look worse

Haha, it may make me look worse, but I was pointing out that i've heard the sound before, that is all.sfc wrote:Let's review one more time, instead of my usual scathing reply, just because I like you. ok well anyway, back to my problem!!!! I recall the knock that tenchus car was makin, at first it was very intermittent, and occured at all random spots in the rpm range. The sound my car is making very different. Its constant and consistant tapping, and only gets louder the harder you step on the gas. It happens at idle and all through the rpm range. The car was slightly low on oil, so I would assume that when a car gets low on oil, the first thing that is deprived of oil would be the head, since its farthest away from the oil pump. If it is in the head, what would be making this sound? I know the cause was lack of oil, so what could it be? Maybe the cams are going bad? someone help me, I am not a honda guy, just trying to get help with my honda motor.
