I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. its easy. just some feeler guages and some spare time.

just do it cold.

what ss said. i bought a $65 special tool from mac to do it. also now that i have been looking into it, i don't think my vavles are out of adjustment (haven't checked though), i think i am not getting enough oil to the head

i know the feeling

so i figured out what the valve noise was... and this is how dumb i am.
i installed the lost motion assemblies upside down. i just put them in as they were laying in the box. stupid me.

its running great now.

oil change, battery, and ripped out the interior. filled it with gas to see if it would crank. it did crank but put a huge puddle of gas under the car. I didn't investigate it further but i think the fuel line is busted right at the carb and thats why it didn't start.

it will be a next summer project. maybe i will gather parts during winter
